The LAND555 Follow-on Test and Evaluation contract is a key enabler for the future success of the Force Level Electronic Warfare System-Land (FLEWS-L) capability, and Raytheon Australia are seeking two (2) bright and energised Field Service Representatives to work closely with our ADF partners and provide support and expertise to FLEWS-L operators.

This Toowoomba-based role is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for motivated Field Services Representatives to provide specialised Electronic Warfare capability maintenance, technical and field support to the Australian Defence Force.

In this pivotal role, the Field Services Representative will be responsible for delivering on-site technical support to ADF users, troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues, as well as conducting planned and corrective maintenance, technical investigations, and supporting configuration change activities to ensure the continued provision of services to the customer. As Field Services Representative you will also support deployment of Mission System Equipment for trials and exercises.

This role will require some travel within Australia.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to ADF operators and maintainers in the form of on-site support, field support (as required) and helpdesk services.
  • Support and conduct installation, inspections and maintenance activities using approved and current technical publications, instructions, data and systems.
  • Perform maintenance duties on the FLEWS-L System, as and when required by ADF maintainers to assist with system technical issue resolution or perform system upgrades.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations on mission system errors, faults and defects and provide recommendations for actions.
  • Liaise and work closely with team members and subcontractors both locally and interstate, and as part of the broader team provide support and assistance to others as required.
  • Support to the coordination of ADF trials and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Defence and Raytheon Australia policies and procedures in relation to Global Trade, EHS&W and Finance.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires a Certificate III in Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Engineering
  • Experience in Defence or complex system engineering and/or maintenance environment.
  • A demonstrated understanding of and experience in the application of radio frequency and communication equipment.
  • A demonstrated understanding of and experience in operating systems (Windows and Unix)/ CISCO networking/software support and upgrades.
  • Experience in equipment installation, calibration and alignment desirable.
  • Prior ADF operator experience desirable.
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence desirable.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
