About the team

The Consumer Product Group engineers strive to make the Coinbase retail app the easiest-to-use and fastest experience for accessing the crypto.

The Coinbase Brazil team is focused on driving our operations and growth strategy across the country. We collaborate cross-functionally to launch features tailored to the Brazilian market, run localized marketing campaigns, and ensure the Coinbase experience meets the expectations of Brazilian users. We aim to expand Coinbase's presence in Brazil by delivering impactful features and experiences designed for local users. From payment integrations to promotional efforts, our goal is to make Coinbase the platform of choice for Brazilians entering the world of crypto. Compliance plays a key role in our work. The team is committed to identifying and mitigating risks that could affect the business, while continuously improving our processes to align with Brazilian regulatory standards. Whether it's optimizing KYC flows or refining internal operations, we're building for long-term trust and sustainability in the Brazilian market.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs that power Coinbase products for Brazilian users.
• Own the development of server-side features that directly drive revenue and enhance user experiences.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, end-to-end solutions.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and security in compliance with Brazilian regulatory requirements.
• Solve complex, large-scale technical challenges related to distributed systems, databases, and microservices architecture.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets the needs of users and internal stakeholders.

What We Look for in You:

• 2+ years of experience developing backend systems and APIs using languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of server-side architecture best practices, including performance optimization, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience integrating with databases, caching layers, and other storage solutions.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex business logic in a reliable and efficient manner.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, microservices, and containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience collaborating across product and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that serves real customer needs.
• Full professional proficiency in English

Nice to Haves:

• Experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech platforms.

Pay Transparency Notice:

The target annual** base** salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
