This is an in-person, 12-week internship during summer 2026.

Coinbase is seeking software engineer interns to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.

The Consumer Software Engineering team is looking for interns to join their team in our London office. This team is building the easiest and fastest way to access crypto through the Coinbase retail app. With a focus on becoming the #1 self-custody wallet, our products include the Coinbase app, advanced trade, d Apps, and staking-paving the way for the future of Onchain.

What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• Work on projects with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to help turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Have programming experience (in a class, for fun, at a job) -- most of our systems are written in Golang, JavaScript, and Ruby but experience with any is not a strict requirement.
• Enjoy thinking about how people interact with products and building experiences that users love.
• Self-motivated and committed to personal growth.
• Approach problems with positive energy.

Nice to haves:

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Have experience working with Golang, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Ruby, and Rails.
• Have experience developing React Native mobile apps.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Base salary range shown. Total compensation also includes bonus eligibility and benefits:

£55,000-£55,000 GBP
