Job Description Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for picking customer orders, inventory transactions, and effective stock keeping operations within Flavor Manufacturing. This position works with other personnel involved in Production to receive raw material and finished goods, staging material for production. This position works independently to manage incoming raw material, transfers materials from external warehouses to our manufacturing plant, and ships finished goods to customers as necessary. The Forklift operator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all documentation, implementing continuous improvement in the warehouse, and meeting all customer service requirements, safety, GMP, and quality system standards. The successful candidate should possess good communication skills and proficient computer skills. A high school diploma is required.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Ensure efficient operation of shipping and receiving of products.

  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.

  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required. Perform operator-related preventative maintenance duties as required.

  • Maintain equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with all GMP standards.

  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.

  • Work directly with supervisor to other personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and correct inventory and quality problems.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Education: High-School Diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving

  • 2+ Years forklift experience required

  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English

  • Ability to trouble-shoot production-related problems

  • Must be able to see and hear

  • Must be able to understand and follow directions

  • Must be able to demonstrate good attendance

  • Ability to use and understand the WMS system

  • Ability to recognize material and product defects

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Manual and finger dexterity

  • Ability to work on all shifts

  • Ability to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts to satisfy business needs

  • Ability to work extended hours and/or overtime as required

  • Ability to visually identify material defects.

Pay Range:

$41,600 - $50,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
