Pulmonary Critical Care Physician – Interventional Pulmonology
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician with advanced training or a focused clinical interest in Interventional Pulmonology to support the growing needs of our Canton and South Region practices. This opportunity is ideal for a physician interested in building and expanding interventional pulmonology services within a nationally recognized health system while maintaining a strong foundation in pulmonary and critical care medicine. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine services, with a dedicated focus on advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonology procedures. This role supports Cleveland Clinic’s expanding need for complex airway and pleural disease management across inpatient and outpatient settings. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver high?quality care for patients with complex pulmonary and critical care conditions in both inpatient and outpatient environments
- Perform and advance interventional pulmonology procedures, including but not limited to:
- Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy
- Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
- Management of central airway disease
- Pleural procedures and complex pleural disease management
- Participate in intensive care unit coverage, pulmonary consult services, and procedural call
- Collaborate closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, and anesthesia colleagues in a multidisciplinary care model
- Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and multidisciplinary conferences as applicable
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers, consistent with Cleveland Clinic’s academic mission
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship
- Additional training or demonstrated expertise in Interventional Pulmonology (formal fellowship preferred but not required)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
- Internal Medicine
- Pulmonary Medicine
- Critical Care Medicine
- Eligibility for Ohio state medical licensure

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
