The Fin Solutions Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
- Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
- Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
- Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
- Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
- Strategic professional who advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in own job and the business.

Accounting & Financial Statement Experienc:
e:·Accounting: Demonstrates strong proficiency in Accounting and Financial reporting. Good understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
· Books and Records: Comprehensive knowledge of managing financial records, identify breaks, requires synthesizing complex data into clear, concise, and insightful summaries that enable Controllers to understand financial performance, identify trends, explain variances, and make informed decisions. The Data Analyst must be able to articulate the story behind the numbers, providing context from the SL data.
· Financial Statements Experience: Hands-on experience in preparing, analyzing, and validating data for financial statements, understanding the impact of changes on reporting. It involves rigorous quality assurance for reliable financial reporting and providing clear explanations for data variances.
· Data Change Governance: Role requires disciplined management of data modifications, ensuring all changes are controlled, documented, and aligned with established data policies & regulatory mandates. It encompasses enforcing policies, data management, ensuring auditability/traceability for data quality and compliance.
· Control Mindset: Cultivates a robust and accountable control mindset, demonstrating unyielding integrity and an inquisitive approach to proactively identify, investigate, and reconcile ledger discrepancies, thereby preventing financial errors.
Data Quality & Integrity:
· Data-Driven Decision Makin g: Role requires systematically collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to inform strategic choices and operational adjustments. It requires translating analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and effectively communicating them to influence decisions and drive improvements.
· Data Quality Management: Proficiency in establishing and monitoring data quality processes, and metrics for ledger data, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
· Reconciliation Management: Understanding of data reconciliation processes to ensure consistency between the ledger and other systems.
· Data Validation: Experience in implementing and overseeing data validation check and controls specific to ledger entries, transactions and reconciliations.
Front-to-back Transformation and Change Management:
· Driving large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives: Experience in life cycle of ledger implementation. Knowledge of Full suite and upstream / downstream data architecture and mapping is preferable.
· Risk and Issue Management: Report and manage risks and issues through the preparation and analysis of large datasets in the Strategic Ledger and associated applications.
Other:
· Problem-Solving: Critical ability to systematically identify, diagnose, and resolve intricate issues & challenges in large-scale transformation projects. It encompasses root cause analysis, solution design, risk mitigation, and leading complex data problem resolution.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including business users, IT, legal, compliance, audit, and external vendors.
· Communication & Influence: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to articulate data governance concepts, policies, and their importance to all levels of the organization.
· Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about data as an asset and its role in achieving organizational goals.
Technical Acumen:
· Proficiency with Tableau, SQL, Knime, Power BI preferred.
· General Ledger: Oracle GL or similar ERP experience
· Full Suite experience preferred.
· Advance Microsoft Office Skills (Excel)
· In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred
· Advanced English
Education:
· Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
· CA or CPA equivalent will be added advantage
· 6-10 years of relevant experience, in financial services with a focus on accounting, transformation and program delivery. Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or similar ledger platforms is a plus
