This pivotal Business Manager role is integral to maintaining a robust and resilient control environment across multiple desks and businesses within the Markets organization, a part of Turkiye Treasury Team. Given the increasing industry and regulatory scrutiny on control-related tasks, this position is crucial for enabling sustainable business growth, facilitating strategic new initiatives and product expansion, and driving technology transformation across all asset classes within the Markets organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight & Reporting: Provide comprehensive updates on financial performance, market opportunities, and critical risk and control issues. Manage escalation points and facilitate effective engagement with regulatory bodies.
• Project Leadership & Implementation: Drive the execution of business-driven projects, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Process & Technology Enhancement: Contribute to and recommend advancements in technology, process optimization, and the overall control framework, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Metrics & Analytics: Develop and deliver insightful metrics and reporting to stakeholders and management teams, providing transparency across various risk stripes.
• Control Framework Management: Advance the existing control framework, including leading Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) testing, managing operational loss processes, and overseeing corrective action implementation to strengthen the control posture.
• Audit & Compliance Liaison: Oversee and assist in audit and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies, and striving for favorable audit outcomes.
• Relationship Management & Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with country product, business, and functional partners. Effectively coordinate efforts across the broader Markets team and engage with desk heads and support functions to align control efforts with business strategy.
• Control Issue Remediation: Proactively identify, seek out, and ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions for control-related issues across all control functions, aiming to foster a robust and harmonized business model for the region.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Relevant proven experience in financial markets, either within a business or in a business support function.
• Demonstrated exposure to and understanding of financial markets products is a significant advantage.
• Solid comprehension of the broader financial markets regulatory landscape.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
• A degree in Finance, Project Management, or Accounting, or a Master's degree, is a plus.
• Professional financial industry qualifications could be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal) at all organizational levels.
• Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.
• High level of computer literacy especially in the Microsoft Office product suite.
• Fluent in English and Turkish.
