Citibank Europe Plc (CEP) Cluster Treasury (CE5) is looking for a driven candidate that is a proactive self-starter who approaches work enthusiastically, demonstrates initiative, thinks critically and challenges the status quo when necessary and has the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This role will provide regional expertise, delivering key technical and analytical support on regulatory deliverables and internal interest and liquidity risk management policies while also supporting the CEP IRRBB/ALM team on CE5 and other requirements.

The team is responsible for delivering Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Credit Spread Risk in the Banking Book (CSRBB) and Funds Transfer Pricing (ITP and LTP) requirements under internal policy and the guidelines of EBA (European Banking Authority) and ECB (European Central Bank) alongside the Central Bank of Ireland and CE5 (HUF, CZK ,RON) regulators. The team is part of the wider CEP Treasury team in the Finance function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support CE5 regulatory and internal deliverables in reviewing local liquidity metrics and deliverables including LCR, NSFR, ALMM, and Weekly and Annual SSM, as well as contribution to entities' Pillar 3 Disclosure.
  • On-going and upcoming regulatory requirements on IRRBB/CSRBB and Liquidity and the internal enhancements identified by gap assessment from CEP's On-Site-Inspection findings from the European Central Bank.
  • Engage with senior management, delivering clear and concise information to relevant committees, presenting on topics where required.
  • Support, liaise, and deliver requirements to key stakeholders including FinCRO and CE5 Markets Treasurers
  • Review and analyze liquidity and IRRBB gap assessment for the CE5 entities.
  • Ensuring a robust control environment as well as successful internal and external audit/reviews.
  • Take part in ad hoc projects both at CE5 and CEP levels where required.

  • In this role, the successful candidate will gain exposure to the technical aspects of interest rate risk, credit spread risk, liquidity risk and funds transfer pricing methodologies, to various business lines and products within the bank, as well as senior management both locally and globally. The successful candidate will also get a good understanding of the frameworks and regulations used in the EU and within the CE5 cluster covering all the mentioned risks

Qualifications:

  • A university or college degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • 8 years of experience working for a financial institution or a consulting firm with a good understanding of liquidity risk, interest rate risk and funds transfer pricing concepts including its management, intraday liquidity, regulations, reporting, forecasting and/or stress testing, and their application to business activity and the balance sheet.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare, present and explain technical concepts or analysis in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex issues in a succinct manner, demonstrated through experience in preparing materials for and presenting to senior management and/or regulatory bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and evaluate large sets of data in order to either draw conclusions, problem solve, or develop forecast.
  • Capable of exceling under pressure and operating in an environment with a high level of scrutiny, is a strong team player that is able to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders across different levels, can coordinate across various lines of business, legal entities and regions, and effectively prioritize across multiple tasks to bring them to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, think conceptually, quickly grasp relevant new concepts while making meaningful connections to existing activities and deliverables.
