As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for business development through new client acquisitions, as well as the cross-selling of Citi’s global platform. You will liaise with various product partners (cash management, Trade, FX) to provide financial solutions. You will also partner with the Investment Bank and Capital Markets team to provide capital markets access, strategic advice and thought leadership. You will make capital available to clients, working closely with Risk colleagues. Given the global nature of Citi’s client base, you will collaborate with Citi colleagues across the globe to deliver local insights and banking solutions. Well-rounded banker skills and a proven track record in acquiring clients are key to success.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect to build new client relationships, leveraging own network, connections from Citi colleagues and generating new leads
- Call on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs
- Working with product specialists to structure and win customized solutions that meet clients’ individual needs
- Identify cross-sell opportunities to increase share-of-wallet
- Proactive share market updates, trend and intelligence
- Own and oversee colleagues’ work on on-boarding and retention of clients, ensuring that appropriate KYC and other compliance deliverables are met
- Own the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring proper credit due diligence, applying institutional policies
- Own the extension of capital and generating appropriate returns
- Work closely with junior team members and Relationship Associates to maximize client experience
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 6-10 years of banking experience
- Passion for creating new business opportunities, with existing clients and prospects
- Sound knowledge of banking products and process as well as a track record of providing sound banking solutions to clients
- Sound credit skills, being able to help structure complex deals, including capital market transactions
- Advanced level of Early Warning detection skills
- Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- International mindset
- High level of self-motivation
- Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions
- Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities
- Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role technology plays in the experience we deliver for our clients
- Fluency in English and Italian
This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015
