Team/Role Overview
Institutional Credit Management provides integrated end-to-end credit underwriting and credit risk management for Citi's wholesale businesses. This senior solution design and execution-focused product development role will strategically lead the implementation of credit risk target state processes, data & technology capabilities, specifically within wholesale credit limit management and monitoring space. This role is critical for driving innovation and delivering significant business value.
What you'll do
- Lead the definition and communication of a compelling product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business priorities and a detailed roadmap for execution.
- Oversee the development of comprehensive and precise business and technical requirement documents, ensuring clarity and feasibility for product execution teams.
- Drive the strategic planning, prioritization, design, and delivery of complex products or features through the entire release lifecycle, acting as a key advocate and thought leader within the user community.
- Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with senior leaders, global stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement high-impact solutions.
- Direct the creation of robust project plans and detailed business and technical requirements, ensuring successful and timely product delivery.
- Provide thought leadership by continuously monitoring market, industry, and client trends, adapting and integrating them into Citi's products and solutions platforms to maintain a competitive edge.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality output.
What we'll need from you
- Proven ability to translate complex business strategies into actionable technical specifications and lead implementation teams.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable solutions within a large-scale business environment, with a focus on enterprise-level architecture.
- Advanced domain expertise and thought leadership in wholesale credit risk management practices, including sophisticated limits management and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end project delivery and product development, coupled with deep knowledge of advanced analytical tools, including Tableau and other data visualization/reporting platforms.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 13 years of progressive experience in product development, credit risk, or technology roles ideally in big US banks or their contractors
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Deep expertise in both Technology and Credit Risk. Experience/familiarity in both is a very significant advantage.
- Credit Risk Assessment experience is required
- Expert-level familiarity with various product development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional ability to build and leverage networks and relationships across a global organization.
