The Global Payroll Services Transformation Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business and requires basic commercial awareness. Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple projects while guiding operations and change management teams.
- Candidates should possess strong experience as both a Project Manager and a Business Analyst.
- Coach the change management team on Agile principles and practices, and foster a self-organizing, collaborative environment for payroll solution delivery.
- Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments or blockers that hinder the payroll team's progress, while managing project risks and dependencies across various stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensure alignment on payroll project objectives, and adapt plans dynamically to changing business priorities and feedback throughout the iterative development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define, refine, and prioritize payroll-related user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria within the product backlog.
- Serve as the primary liaison between payroll business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear, concise communication and a shared understanding of evolving payroll requirements and regulatory changes.
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to clarify requirements, support the team, and validate iterative payroll solution development
- Ability to quantify benefits and effectively present findings and recommendations to leadership. Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and applications to enhance project efficiency and analysis.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management.
- Education: Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with technology and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Workday or any SASS application preferred.
- Good knowledge and experience working with AI tools and understanding of AI concepts.
- Specialized Knowledge: Good knowledge of North America payroll and Tax regulations and practices.
- Scrum Master or PMP certification is a plus.
