Citi has a leading Global ABS business in Asia-Pacific, with an established ABS lending business as well as a strong capital markets franchise. Key countries of focus in Asia include Greater China, Singapore, South Korea, South East Asia and India. We focus on the origination, structuring and execution of securitization transactions across a variety of different sectors, with a heavy focus on specialty finance and fintech companies across the region.
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to be based in Hong Kong to support client engagement and lead transaction origination, structuring and execution, working together with senior and junior team members. Our transactions involve a material level of structuring which considers credit/ratings, accounting, tax and regulatory capital considerations to deliver value-added asset based financing solutions to clients. Our team members have strong quantitative (including modelling), credit and legal structuring skills as well as portfolio management experience. We work closely with coverage and industry bankers as well as with investor sales and coverage teams.
- 2-5 years of experience in structured finance/securitization within a bank or other sell-side or buy-side institution
- Strong communication and presentation skills, confidence and maturity in interacting with clients and transaction 3rd parties, with guidance from senior team members
- Strong numerical and analytical skills. Become familiar with modelling application such as Intex
- Strong English, preferably with an additional language, such as Chinese (Mandarin), but not an absolute requirement
- Excellent Power Point and Excel skills
- Strong teamwork, and ability to independently prepare presentation materials, credit memos, cashflow/financial models, reviewing transaction documents, co-ordinating transaction parties
- Demonstrated structuring skills across lending and capital markets transactions, with a material degree of familiarity in credit/cashflow structuring techniques and relevant legal concepts
- Experience in a bank syndication or capital markets distribution environment, engaging with investors during the syndication/distribution process
- Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding environment, self-starter, ability to use initiative to manage both internal and external stakeholders often in a complex setting to support new business development
