The User Experience Sr. Analyst is an intermediate level experienced role, strongly contributing to the research, analysis and design of digital products and systems.
User Experience partners with Product and Technology colleagues to create innovative and intuitive digital products that deliver best-in-class user experience and usability to our clients, both internally and externally. We undertake a wide spectrum of activities, from discovery and research, through definition, ideation, and design, to the management of design systems and the delivery of interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs to our development partners.
The UX Design Group’s primary goal is to research and design products and solutions that are streamlined, intuitive, consistent, accessible, great-looking, and easy-to-use, which perfectly suit (or even anticipate) our clients’ needs.
Responsibilities:
- Hold meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
- Perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
- Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making
- Work closely with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions
- Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using specialist tools such as Sketch, In Vision, Axure, and the Adobe suite
- Apply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback
- Use, and contribute to, the approved design system
- Adhere to, and improve design standards and best practices
- Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
- Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints ensuring quality and spec are as designed
- Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
- Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
- Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, and escalating where needed
- Help to train and support junior team members
- Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members

Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
- Experience delivering with an agile methodology
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly skilled in professional design tools e.g., Sketch, Figma, AdobeXD, Axure, In Vision etc.
- Experience using design systems Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
- HTML/CSS Development Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
The design system developer will assist with the development of the React codebase for our internal design system, strongly contributing to the development and strategic technical direction of internal frameworks, products and systems. You will ensure stability and scalability of the framework, and work closely with the rest of our framework development team, and with the CSS lead.
This role will be integrated within the Design team to produce code that aligns to the standards defined in our internal design library. Your primary task is to help build and maintain the internal React framework, which is used to create innovative and intuitive digital products that deliver best-in-class user experience and usability to our clients, both internally and externally. In this role, you will have opportunities to partner with Technology colleagues to provide support for onboarding to the Design System and to better understand how your work fits into the strategic objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Help to lead the development of the React UI Library that is aligned to our internal Design System components
- Alignment of framework to Figma Design Library
- Help with management of shared assets and CSS variables between design and development
- Work with AI to accelerate development of the library, and to embed the DS into our internal AI solutions
- Work with the team to understand priority and urgency, while escalating blockers or delays
- Investigate bugs, and provide support to reduce risk for our users
- Handle framework upgrades and feature requests
- Ensure clear migration path for applications to remain on latest technology and design standards
- Follow internal standards for build processes and publishing to ensure stability of framework
- Keep the framework current with the latest trends both internally and externally
- Provide technical analysis and solutions to issues and technical direction
- Provide support to consumers of the React UI Library
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years experience writing professional-quality shared component libraries with expertise in TypeScript, React, and a solid foundational understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Expertise in working with reusable code that is integrated with modern design systems.
- Write high-quality code that is well-documented and easy to maintain
- Quality of work and speed of execution are crucial for success in this role.
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
- Experience delivering with an agile methodology and using bitbucket/github and jira to manage development
- Experience in development of end to end testing, unit testing
- Strong communication skills, and ability to raise escalate concerns when appropriate
- Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies
- Support for developers looking to onboard and contribute to the design system
- Interest in working with Design Systems at scale, and developing within the structures of a design driven framework
Desirable Skills & Experience
- React Native development, and work on mobile libraries
- Interest in Design, methodologies of design systems
- Interest in enablement of AI in conjunction with maintenance and alignment to Design Systems
- Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
