Overview:
The LATAM Asset Servicing Senior Vice President is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the strategic efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all aspects of Asset Servicing for LATAM markets, including oversight of the accurate and timely processing of all LATAM income and corporate action events. This position requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, a profound understanding of LATAM-specific market practices, and a proven ability to drive large-scale process enhancements and transformative initiatives. The Senior Vice President will lead a dedicated function focused on conducting front-to-back reviews of all processes, proactively identifying opportunities for automation and simplification, and leading the execution of the global strategy for LATAM. This strategic approach aims to scale the business effectively and reduce operational risk across the LATAM Asset Servicing landscape while continuing to drive a superior client service experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary with a strong Asset Services background, an extensive track record in senior leadership, and enterprise-level risk management.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight & Functional Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and functional oversight across all aspects of LATAM Asset Servicing, including event creation, income, mandatory, and voluntary corporate action events, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to regional market practices.

Process Optimization & Automation: Lead front-to-back reviews of all LATAM Asset Servicing processes to identify and spearhead opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization, with an overarching goal of reducing risk and enhancing operational efficiency.

Strategic Leadership & Processing Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and functional oversight for teams responsible for the reconciliation and accurate, timely processing of all LATAM income and corporate action events, ensuring compliance with regional market practices and regulations.

Training & Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for LATAM Asset Servicing teams, ensuring a high level of competency, adherence to best practices, and continuous skill development.

Risk Management & Control Execution: Establish and enforce robust control frameworks specifically tailored to LATAM markets to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely execution of client entitlements, proactively identifying and mitigating systemic, operational, and regulatory risks.

Client Satisfaction & Relationship Enhancement: Define and uphold industry-leading service standards for LATAM clients, guiding teams in researching, analyzing, and responding to highly complex inquiries.

Root Cause Analysis & Solution Implementation: Conduct sophisticated, in-depth analyses to identify the root causes of systemic operational challenges within LATAM Asset Servicing, spearheading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions across the region.

Analytical Acumen & Metrics Implementation: Proven ability to analyze complex operational metrics, identify critical trends, and pinpoint areas of opportunity for process enhancement and risk reduction. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing new metric reporting frameworks to effectively measure the success and sustainability of process improvements and strategic initiatives.

Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead and drive strategic initiatives focused on transforming process efficiency, significantly reducing operational risk, and enhancing overall client satisfaction across the LATAM Asset Servicing landscape.

Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive experience in financial services operations, with extensive senior-level experience and deep expertise in all aspects of Asset Servicing, with a significant focus on LATAM markets.

Demonstrated strategic leadership, with a proven ability to manage large, complex functions, drive organizational change, and develop multi-disciplinary high-performing teams.

Comprehensive knowledge of a wide array of investment instruments prevalent in LATAM markets.

Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and executive decision-making skills, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges (e.g., automation, simplification).

Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and external stakeholders. Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
