The Balance Sheet Governance Team (BSG) is responsible for oversight of the firm's Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Framework and In-business Risk and Controls. Within the Analytics and Delivery (A&D) team, the Global Financial Controls Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. The A&D team strive to foster a culture of collaboration across BSG, encouraging and motivating the group to simplify processes, increase efficiencies and drive value for our stakeholders. The successful applicant applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits’ Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the governance of the balance sheet.
- Provides key metric material to stakeholders monthly and quarterly.
- Individual analytical work as well as partnership across teams (both BSG and our stakeholders) to identify solutions to business inquiries in a timely manner and own the implementation / execution steps to autonomously drive open issues to completion.
- Directs project prioritization, platform direction, and future state planning and strategic direction.
- Exposure into various facets of Risk and Finance Processes within Citi; interacting with various levels within the organization.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in financial services field/Risk and Control field
- Excellent management presentation skills (PowerPoint, Project plan and Status reporting, Executive presence)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding relationship building and management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, certification or Master’s degree in relevant field a plus.
