Team/Role Overview
This entry-level position in Citi Markets Operations offers a unique chance to learn the end-to-end booking and processing of various Market Products such as FX, Options, Fixed Income, Securities, Commodities, and Derivatives. This foundational experience will also provide exposure to critical areas such as managing operational German Withholding tax considerations and understanding the robust governance frameworks involved in Operations Outsourcing, thereby building a strong base for a thriving career at Citi.

What you’ll do
We will provide you with the exposure to various functional learning and development opportunities to aid you in starting career within financial services. You will get valuable exposure to:
- Banking Systems: Grasp the complex infrastructure of banking systems, including booking, processing, risk, and accounting and gain knowledge on different markets products such as FX, Options, Fixed Income, Securities, Commodities, and Derivatives etc.
- Governance: Understand markets governance, aiding in issue identification, escalation, and solution proposals.
- Regulatory Frameworks: Build knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal policies for a strong control environment.
- Data Analysis: Develop foundational data analysis skills, working with datasets and presenting information.
- Reporting: Contribute to internal and regulatory reporting, including data gathering and report preparation for compliance and insights.
- Adaptability: Learn to prioritize and navigate tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Improve communication and diplomacy skills with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

- Currently pursuing a university degree, on track for graduating, and developing a strong analytical and conceptual foundation.
- Interest in building a career within the financial services sector, eager to learn and contribute.
- A self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach and a proven ability to follow through on commitments.
- Demonstrates strong collaboration skills, effectively working with others to achieve shared objectives.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
