We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Vice President to lead a critical team within our Loan Trading Operations department. This role demands in-depth subject matter and industry expertise to integrate various operational aspects and contribute significantly to the establishment of operating standards. The Vice President will be responsible for overseeing all operational facets of loan trading, including the servicing of desk positions, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of trades, and providing comprehensive leadership to a team of operations professionals. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the syndicated loan product lifecycle, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, with a particular emphasis on expertise in LSTA documentation. This position also involves strategic planning, budgeting, and policy formulation within the area of expertise, influencing colleagues across various functions, and occasional external clients.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management: Provide full management responsibility for a team of loan trading operations specialists, including performance evaluation, hiring, and development. Foster an accountable, ethical, and results-oriented environment, ensuring continuous development and optimal performance.

Operational Excellence: Oversee and manage operational processes for syndicated loan trading, encompassing trade capture, confirmations, settlement, payments, and reconciliations**.** Drive initiatives to ensure the volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of complex deliverables related to loan documentation processes for the team.

Risk Management & Compliance: Accountable for the integrity of processes, operations, and associated results. Proactively identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate operational risks and issues. Ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies. Serve as a subject matter expert on LSTA documentation (e.g., LSTA Standard Terms and Conditions, Confirmation documents, Credit Agreements), guiding the team on proper interpretation, preparation, review, and application in all trade processing, settlement & servicing activities.

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures. Lead projects to drive business initiatives, client solutions, and cost-saving opportunities. Continuously evaluate and enhance existing operational workflows, assessing service quality, and identifying areas for process, service, or technology enhancements. Stay abreast of developments within the loan documentation/processing function and assess their impact on the business. Define, develop, implement, and track appropriate KPIs and SLAs for the group.

Stakeholder Engagement: Support a wide range of internal clients (product, sales, trading, legal and technology) and external corporate clients. Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients, and stakeholders, influencing them through collaborative communication to understand their needs and provide effective solutions. Conduct discovery and due diligence activities with clients to meet their needs.

Problem Solving & Analysis: Responsible for detailed analysis of complex loan-related issues where the best course of action is not immediately evident, recommending and taking appropriate actions. Possess advanced analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex material from multiple projects, defining problems and developing robust solutions.

Ethical Conduct & Supervision: Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and effectively supervise the activity of others, creating accountability for maintaining these standards.
Qualifications:

6-10 years of Experience in financial services operations, with a significant focus on loan trading operations.

Demonstrated expertise in syndicated loan products, market conventions, and the entire trade lifecycle.

Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and tools used in the loan process, including familiarity with industry platforms such as Clear Par and LoanIQ.

Proven ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues within a complex operational environment.

Strong knowledge of various risk types, policies, control measures, and processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
