Citi is seeking a Summer Analyst for its Commercial Real Estate Finance Group, within the Corporate Banking division. This group is focused on originating, structuring, marketing and executing secured and unsecured financings for publicly and privately traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), sponsor funds, developers, C-corps as well as hotel management companies. Transactions include corporate credit facilities, financing in connection with initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, bridge loans, and leveraged buyouts.

The group focuses on real estate properties and developments in diverse industries, such as hospitality, retail, office, industrial, data centers, healthcare, self-storage and other property types within the commercial real estate industry. The applicant will work with various groups across the firm to originate, structure, syndicate, and close transactions. This is a ten week internship commencing in June of 2027.

Your time here will look something like this

  • Collect and analyze company information to assist transactions; including conducting industry research; revising; and organizing financial data * Analyze financial data and develop financial models including company valuations; discounted cash flow analysis; financing; and comparative analyses * Create and finalize new business development presentations * Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams * Prepare required internal documentation e.g. control and compliance regulations

We want to hear from you if:

You are graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 and have a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above.

We'll also be looking for:

  • Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and career development, a strong desire to learn, and success in team environments
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Interest in building relationships with clients and investors and raising capital
  • Unquestioned commitment to ethical decision-making and robust work ethic
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
