About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analytics Intermediate Analyst (C11) to join our Wealth Analytics team in Bengaluru, India. The role is part of Citi’s Analytics & Information Management (AIM) unit. This is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting rigorous analytical deep dives into various aspects of balance sheet management, client profitability and product performance. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, a strong aptitude for number crunching, and good communication skills.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet components, including deposits, loans, and Risk Weighted Assets to understand performance drivers and measure impact of strategic initiatives.
- Design, develop & drive analytics initiatives to improve product and client profitability for Citi's Wealth business.
- Develop & execute recurring reports to measure KPIs across key dimensions – client engagement, product KPIs & banker performance.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, identify data patterns, trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across various geographies and functions, including product, technology and finance to deliver impactful solutions.
- Present complex analytical findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences and senior management.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the analytics function.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Identify scope and drive adoption of AI tools across key projects
Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in the analytics domain. Experience in banking or financial services industries would be preferred.
- Master’s degree in business, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative fields.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python coding required.
- Experience working with big data platforms and tools (e.g., Impala, Hive etc.) for processing and analyzing massive datasets.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- Advanced PowerPoint storytelling and data visualization.
- Experience with tools such as Dataiku, Copilot etc. would be an added advantage.
