The Cash & Collateral Management Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 – (C09) - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 -Officer -C09 (Hybrid) based in Pune, India. In this role, you’re expected to:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collateral Operations SME for an analyst role within our dynamic collateral management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of collateral processes and regulatory requirements, contributing significantly to the efficient and accurate management of collateral across ASL ( Agency Lending ) financial products:
- Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
- Generate and match trade confirmations according to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates
- Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
- Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
- Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
- Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
- Participate in the periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Manage daily collateral calls, including issuance, reconciliation, and dispute resolution for derivatives, repo, and securities lending transactions.
- Ensure compliance with ISDA, CSA, GMRA, and other relevant legal agreements and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR).
- Monitor exposure and proactively address margin call exceptions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Trading, Legal, Risk, Operations) and external counterparties to resolve collateral-related issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and control.
- Prepare and analyze collateral management reports.
- 3-6 years of experience in collateral management or a related operations role within a financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of collateralized products, including OTC derivatives, repo, and securities lending.
- Familiarity with industry-standard collateral systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in NAM Hours and manage multiple priorities.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure: Qualifications and skillsets:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experiences.
- Relevant experience preferred
- Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of macros
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
