The Corporate Solutions Group is within the Markets business at Citi and focuses on originating corporate rates derivatives, requiring strong product expertise and market understanding across various industries. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential to partner effectively both internally and with clients. The Corporate Solutions Group works closely with corporate and investment banking, capital markets, and rates trading.  It involves managing an evolving and episodic client portfolio, demanding adaptability and proactive engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Join an existing coverage team to provide day-to-day coverage for an existing client group, including selling corporate derivatives products and other finance solutions directly to Corporate clients.
  • Understand and analyze clients' businesses and exposures to provide best-suited derivatives and finance solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners.
  • Aid in achieving specified goals in both market and wallet share for the identified client franchise.
  • Originate and execute meaningful and landmark derivatives transactions.
  • Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of client needs.
  • Help foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue, and to deliver on expertise.
  • Actively participate in client discussions and meetings to address their needs and originate new derivatives trades and deals.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm's reputation.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience for AVP level; 6-10 years of experience for VP level
  • Previous experience in corporate derivative role with a proven track record in supporting relationships through value-added service and commercial skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise and track record in corporate derivatives sales.
  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and evolve client relationships within a dynamic client portfolio.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree.

Advertised salary range is related to VP level.
