The Agency & Trust team provides innovative banking solutions to financial institutions, corporate clients, and public sector entities around the world. The business offers a full range of agency, fiduciary, tender and exchange, depository and escrow services in both developed and emerging markets. The Product Specialist is a senior level position responsible for the negotiation and implementation of our client´s transactions within the Agency & Trust Team.
Responsibilities:
Lead negotiations and implementation process of Agency & Trust Clients' contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulation and alignment with product definitions and internal policies for new and existing transactions.

Liaise and coordinate pre-closing requirements with internal and external clients.

Attend work meetings with clients and any parties involved in the structure.

Work with Corporate Bank officers and professionals, and participate in particular client transactions, projects or assignments.

Execution and closing syndicated loan agreements, including new deals and amendments.

Responsible for requesting and coordinating support to the internal areas for the execution of customer requirements such as Operations, Compliance, Taxes, Legal, etc.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular considerations for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Obtain “sign off” on the contracts from the parties involved in the negotiation process such as: client, third parties, external legal counsel and other participants.

Obtain “sign off” on the contracts from Citi internal participant areas such as: Legal, Compliance, Product, and Operations.

Responsible to verify that all precedent conditions, additional approvals and formalities have been obtained prior to executing any Client contract including but not limiting to: screen all participants or as defined by each country, verify KYC in place, assure Deal Review (regional and local) approvals and requirements have been met, obtain fee schedule, internal requirements, etc.

Handle the contract signing process, coordinating with all internal and external areas involved.

Coordinate and liaise with other teams internally and externally, locally and regional, such as law firms, clients, regulatory bodies, and any other party as necessary to ensure successful implementation of new and/or existing transactions.

Conduct meetings to discuss the new or existing amended transactions to the participating areas.

Prepare checklists: deal implementation, documentation and transaction checklists, mapping the Citi´s responsibilities.

Collaborate with Product and Sales Managers on structuring business deals.

Serve as main point of contact for the client and the business during the negotiation and implementation process.

Participate in Deal Review, Sales, Product, RM meetings.

Participate in Client Meetings.

Perform follow-ups on documentation and deferrals.

Respond to Client, Product, Sales, and Operations regarding escalation questions of the deal structure or contractual obligations.

Provide insight and recommendations on best practices around policies and procedures.

Knowledge Issuer Services (Agency & Trust).

Works with local teams as appropriate for tracking and follows up for completion and filing of annual reviews, covenant compliance checklists, inspections and other reporting requirements.
Qualifications:

5 years banking experience.

Knowledge of the collateral agreements and syndicated loans products, the different roles and services.

Proven business engagement skills.

Experience of successfully interacting with external and internal clients at all levels.

Teamwork, communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work when the situation requires immediate action and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills to negotiate.

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to collaborate across departments to deliver effective solutions for our clients.

Ability to create connections with client, aiming to provide a satisfactory client experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Law or Economic areas (Accounting, Administration, Economics, Finance, or related areas)
