The Markets Operations - Confirmations Officer is an entry level position responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of trade confirmations within stipulated timelines, managing client issues, and contributing to operational efficiency and control.
Responsibilities:
- Trade Confirmation Management:
- Daily Follow-up: Conduct daily follow-up on trade confirmation processes, ensuring completion within established timelines.
- Generation and Matching: Generate and accurately match trade confirmations, specifically utilizing templates from the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA).
- Document Review & Escalation: Perform thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and timely escalation of any unissued or unexecuted documents.
- Client and Issue Resolution:
- Client Issue Resolution: Ensure that client issues are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Transaction Processing Escalation: Escalate transaction processing issues through appropriate channels and actively collaborate with relevant parties to find and implement solutions.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Management Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly Unconfirmed Metric Reports for management, providing key performance indicators and insights.
- Regulatory Compliance: Execute regulatory controls and manage record retention activities in strict accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Audit and Control Adherence: Ensure all operational processes consistently adhere to established audit and control policies.
- Operational Enhancement and Projects:
- System Enhancement: Actively participate in testing related to system enhancements and new business initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Project Involvement: Participate in and/or lead various projects as assigned, contributing to strategic operational goals.
- Analytical and Leadership Contributions:
- Report Design and Analysis: Design and analyze moderately complex reports, working in coordination with leadership to meet set standards.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience preferred
- Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of macros
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
