Located just outside of Oslo, our innovation center is home to 300+ passionate engineers working across hardware, software, mechanics, audio, media processing and artificial intelligence - from concept to product. We strive to create best-in-class video conferencing experiences by bringing together diverse disciplines and ideas under one roof.

The Cisco Lysaker Platform team are looking for an embedded platform engineer to join us. You will be working closely with other platform engineers as well as software, hardware and test engineers to develop the next Cisco collaboration video products.

Your Impact

You are a dedicated embedded developer, with skills within OS and hardware near software development. You are self driven, quality focused and enjoy working with other developers and teams.

You will:

• Work on OS layer software on our new and existing devices, offering a development platform and access to hardware services to our application teams

• Focus on improvement, either it being related to an area, a piece of code or internal processes

Minimum Qualifications

• A degree in relevant field (CS, CE, EE or similar)

• Experience with relevant programming languages (C/C++/Rust/Python)

• Experience with embedded Linux development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing software that makes efficient use of hardware resources.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Boot SW like U-Boot or UEFI, Linux kernel, Trusted Execution Environment, Secure boot, or Embedded build systems and tool chains.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
