Job Summary:
The Virtual Account Executive for Industrial IoT will be responsible for driving sales and expanding Cisco’s Industrial IoT solutions portfolio in a given territory.
This role focuses on helping customers understand and apply Industrial IoT technologies to address critical business challenges, particularly in operational technology (OT) domains such as manufacturing, utilities, transportation, and smart cities. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, skilled in virtual engagement, and capable of managing complex sales cycles remotely.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to grow Cisco’s Industrial IoT business within assigned accounts and regions.

Proactively identify and hunt new business opportunities by leveraging data, insights, and analytics, collaborating closely with account teams and partners to drive pipeline growth and close deals effectively.

Engage with customers virtually to understand their operational challenges and align Cisco’s Industrial IoT solutions to meet their needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including partners, technical specialists, and marketing to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Drive adoption of Cisco’s Industrial IoT portfolio, including secure networking, edge computing, and OT/IT convergence technologies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders in customer organizations.

Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in Industrial IoT.

Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of Cisco’s Industrial IoT market presence.

Embrace and leverage Cisco’s AI-powered Tech Stack daily to scale customer engagement, optimize sales processes, and drive revenue growth by integrating AI tools into territory planning, pipeline management, and customer interactions.
Who You’ll Work with:
You, as an Virtual Account Executive – Industrial IoT will work closely with our GEO Sales Teams, Industry Specialists, Growth and Digital Sales (GDS) group and other extended teams to identify opportunities and drive incremental growth across in assigned vertical and application specific segments of customers and deals that can accelerate the industrial IoT portfolio in exciting new ways.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in Industrial IoT, networking technology, or related fields.

Background in technical sales or solution selling for networking technologies on a professional level (CCNP or comparable)

Solid understanding of Industrial IoT concepts, including OT networks, security, and digital transformation.

Excellent virtual communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders remotely.

Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills.

Familiarity with Cisco’s Industrial IoT solutions and ecosystem is a plus.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a virtual environment.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to document processes so that they can be recreated quickly upon success.

Desire to build something new within an established business.
Preferred Experience:

Experience working with customers in manufacturing, utilities, transportation, or smart city sectors.

Knowledge of Industrial automation, IT/OT integration and cybersecurity in industrial environments.
