Join Our Team at Cisco:

At Cisco, we are committed to connecting and empowering people through technology. Our team plays a key role in delivering comprehensive CRM and data solutions across the Cisco ecosystem. We support sellers, partners, and customers by developing high-quality integrations and analytics that drive business-critical operations. We value diversity and are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Meet the Team:

You’ll join Cisco’s Connected Engineering & Transformation Office Integration Team agile, an innovative group enabling Sales, Marketing, Support, and Partner teams. We design, deliver, and maintain integration solutions that power automation, data flow, and business intelligence across Salesforce CRM and the Cisco technology landscape.

Your Impact

As a Software Integration Engineer, you will be at the center of our digital ecosystem—designing, building, and operating resilient APIs and integrations that power detailed experiences across platforms, partners, and customers. You’ll harness Mule Soft Cloud Hub 2.0, AWS services, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Splunk, and UI frameworks to deliver secure, scalable, and observable integrations. Your expertise will shape system design and ensure our integration ecosystem supports both transactional and data-driven workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise integrations on Mule Soft Cloud Hub 2.0, connecting Salesforce, commerce platforms, on-premises applications, databases, and modern user interfaces.
  • API & Data Engineering: Build API-led integrations, ETL/data pipelines, and real-time streaming flows across hybrid environments; integrate AI/ML workloads and ensure efficient data movement between systems.
  • Platform & Database Integration: Configure and run Cloud Hub 2.0 features (Private Spaces, TLS domains, load balancers, Flex Gateway), and integrate with AWS (S3, Open Search, Lambda, PostgreSQL), MongoDB Atlas, and relational/NoSQL databases.
  • Security, Monitoring & Observability: Implement authentication/authorization (Okta, DUO), implement API policies, and use tools like Splunk and custom dashboards for flow monitoring, fix, and recovery.
  • Partnership & Best Practices: Partner with architects, developers, and business collaborators to translate requirements into robust solutions; conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and apply integration protocols and UI frameworks.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate in Scrum ceremonies, progress in Jira, and chip in to continuous improvement.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of Mule Soft and integration trends, adopting new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve the ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Core Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery for web or cloud-based enterprise applications.
  • Technical Expertise could be on any of these:

Front-End: Strong skills in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI/UX design.

Back-End: Expertise in server-side languages (Java, Python, Node.js, or C#), API development (REST/GraphQL), database design (SQL/NoSQL), and scalable microservices architecture.

  • Mule Soft: Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions using Mule Soft tools (API Manager, Design Center, Runtime Manager, Flex Gateway) and proficiency in Data Weave for data transformation, REST/SOAP Webservices.

Integration & Cloud Proficiency:

  • Validated experience integrating with third-party systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), authentication (OAuth, JWT), and event-driven architectures.

Dev

Ops & Engineering Excellence:

  • Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, automated testing, code reviews, and SDLC practices. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools is a plus.

Agile Mentality & Communication:

Experience working in Agile, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent English communication skills to collaborate optimally in global teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce & Cloud Certifications:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer/Administrator certifications, Mule Soft Developer/Architect, or equivalent cloud credentials (AWS, Azure, GCP). Shown interest in expanding Salesforce or cloud expertise.

  • Technical Leadership:

  • Shown leadership in technical design, code quality, and architectural decisions on multi-functional projects. Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers is highly valued.

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving:

  • Proven record to fix integration issues, propose enhancements, and leverage analytics or AI to improve system efficiency and data reliability.

Emerging Tech Skills:

  • Interest in AI/ML, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, or low-code/no-code platforms.

Continuous Learning & Innovation:

  • Passion for ongoing professional development through certifications, experimentation, or community engagement. Eagerness to explore and apply new technologies.
  • Collaboration, Communication & Documentation:

Collaboration skills for working across technical and business teams, with strong communication and documentation habits to ensure clarity and effective knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
