Meet the Team
As a Federal Government Account Manager, you'll be part of the ANZ Public Sector Sales team. In this role, you'll be handling and expanding Cisco’s business within Federal government Accounts. This role serves as the primary liaison between Cisco and relevant Federal organisations, driving strategic sales initiatives, building and nurturing relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction by aligning Cisco’s technology solutions with the unique needs of Federal clients.
Your Impact

Develop and implement comprehensive strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets within Federal govt sectors.

Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within federal government.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to expand Cisco’s footprint in the federal market.

Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical teams, marketing, legal, and product specialists—to design and tailor solutions that address Federal government requirements and compliance standards.

Effectively present Cisco’s solutions, products, and services to Federal clients, clearly articulating value propositions, technical benefits, and alignment with government objectives.

Conduct formal presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to educate and influence Federal stakeholders on Cisco’s offerings.

Navigate complex federal procurement processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance mandates.

Provide accurate and timely account status updates, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports to Cisco leadership.

Represent Cisco at Federal government events, industry conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing issues, facilitating smooth solution delivery, and maintaining on-going support.
Minimum Qualifications

Consistent record in account management or sales within the Australian Federal government sector.

Strong knowledge of Federal procurement regulations, compliance requirements, and government contracting processes.

Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Present complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively to diverse federal audiences.

Ability to handle multiple accounts and projects concurrently with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of Federal government IT infrastructure, cybersecurity challenges, and technology trends.

Familiarity with Cisco products and solutions is highly preferred

Skilled in delivering engaging presentations and solution demonstrations tailored to Federal government needs.

Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering value and building trust.

Security clearance may be required.
