Application Development Lead Analyst:

Position Overview:

Develop software solutions for one of the Technology Portfolio Performance teams. This individual will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system in the United States. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance Evernorth’s market winning capabilities in the Technology Operations. The solution focuses on optimizing technology operations and enabling this change through the use of the latest technologies and development techniques.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test and maintain complex software solutions.
Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Develop engineering solutions in alignment with the Technology strategy and meeting application’s requirements as well as industry standard best practices.
Maximize the efficiency (operational, performance, and cost) of the application assets.
Sizes User Stories based on time / difficulty to complete.
Provides input on specific challenges facing User Stories.
Discuss risks, dependencies, and assumptions.

Determine if User Stories meet the Definition of Ready:

Selects User Stories to be completed in the Iteration, based on User Story priority and team capacity and velocity.
Participate in the daily stand up.
Bring innovative solutions to the team
Be a good team player and actively participate in the team ceremonies

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Proven experience delivering complex software solutions.
Working experience with of the following technologies, AWS, Linux based OS
React Framework front end development
Java Spring Boot Skills are a must.
Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SCRUM/KANBAN.
Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.
Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills.

Desired Skills:

Strong analytical skills to challenge design recommendations

Understanding of Java and React:

Required Experience & Education:

5-8 Years Experience
College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Desired Experience:

Exposure to AWS, Databases Such as MS SQL or Postgres
Industry standards for Error handling
