Evernorth’ s Finance Data Office is leading the Finance Forward strategy to build a faster, data-driven finance organization. The Senior Advisor, AI & Analytics role will drive business-focused analytics, reporting modernization, and AI experimentation from the Evernorth GCC, Hyderabad. You will be part a team of professionals, working closely with Finance and Technology leaders across the U.S. and India to turn data and automation opportunities into measurable results.

About the Finance Data Office

The Finance Data Office (FDO) drives modernization across three connected pillars:

• Data Strategy (VISTA – Value-driven Insights for Strategic Transformation & Analytics): Defines finance data standards, governance, and a trusted single source of truth.
• Process Reengineering (POET – Process Optimization through the Enablement of Technology): Streamlines and automates core finance processes to improve speed and control.
• AI & Analytics: Modernizes finance reporting, applies advanced analytics, and enables data-driven decision making across Finance.

These pillars work together to advance Finance Forward, Evernorth’s program to create a modern, digital finance ecosystem.

Role Overview

You will execute Evernorth’s Finance Data Strategy. The role requires strong finance knowledge, analytical expertise, and the ability to connect business goals to data and technology solutions. This is a business role that works in close partnership with enterprise technology teams for implementation and scale.

The Lead Analyst plays a technical, hands-on role within the Finance Data Strategy team. This position is responsible for analyzing Finance data, writing transformation logic, building prototypes, validating outputs, standardizing KPIs and definitions, and designing sustainable data structures that support Finance360 and analytics.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally strong in data analysis, SQL/Python coding, data modeling, and business understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Data Analysis & Coding

·Write complex SQL (and Python where needed) to analyze datasets, evaluate quality, reconcile sources, and create transformation logic.

·Perform deep data profiling to understand business rules, anomalies, and data behavior.

·Create source-to-target mappings and transformation specifications.

Prototype Development

·Build working prototypes in Fabric, Databricks, Denodo, or BI tools to validate logic and modeling decisions.

·Construct semantic models and reporting-ready data sets aligned to Finance standards.

·Iterate with stakeholders to refine logic and ensure accuracy.

Validation & Quality Assurance

·Conduct reconciliation and metric validation across systems and datasets.

·Document logic, lineage, and data definitions for assigned domains.

·Identify root causes of data issues and propose durable remediation approaches.

Governance & Standardization

·Apply governance frameworks, definitions, naming standards, and KPI uniformity.

·Maintain metadata, lineage documentation, and standardized logic libraries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·Work with Technology and Engineering teams to transition prototypes into production pipelines.

·Support reporting teams by validating BI dashboards and ensuring metric consistency.

·Coordinate with process and analytics teams to ensure alignment of data, process, and reporting logic.

Qualifications & Experience

•5–8 years in data analysis, data modeling, BI development, or analytics engineering.

•Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python.

•Experience building prototypes or semantic models.

•Financial domain understanding (GL, cost centers, FP&A, allocations).

•Familiarity with Fabric, Databricks, Denodo, or Power BI preferred.

Success Profile

•5–8 years in data analysis, data modeling, BI development, or analytics engineering.

•Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python.

•Experience building prototypes or semantic models.
