The Strategic Planning Senior Advisor plays a pivotal role supporting the Strategic Optimization Programs. This role will help guide top management on critical initiatives, with a distinct emphasis on leading a multi-year transformation that spans multiple workstreams. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Planning, this position is central to the design, execution, and ongoing management of complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive lasting organizational change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Strategic Optimization Programs and Leads Multi-Year Transformation Initiatives: Coordinate large-scale, cross-divisional programs and processes that are integral to the PBS’s long-term strategic objectives. Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring alignment with business goals and seamless integration across departments.

  • Program Management Across Multiple Workstreams: Manage a portfolio of internal and external projects, each contributing significant value to the company. Ensure all projects meet rigorous standards for compliance, quality, strategic alignment, schedule, and cost, while adapting to evolving business needs over several years.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams, leveraging insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement throughout the transformation journey.

  • Thought Leadership and Expertise: Serve as a recognized expert and “go-to” resource for complex Strategy Planning assignments. Provide technical expertise and competitive intelligence across multiple disciplines, supporting the PBS’s evolution in a dynamic marketplace.

  • Strategic Analysis and Recommendations: Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify business use cases, capability requirements, and dependencies related to digital, technology, and data. Translate business feedback and results into actionable recommendations that secure senior leadership sponsorship and buy-in.

  • Executive Support and Meeting Coordination: Support agenda development and coordination for key senior leadership meetings, including ELT-level presentations, weekly leader calls, and Town Halls. Prepare compelling presentation materials and deliver insights on complex business issues to operational management and business unit heads.

  • Cross-Enterprise Partnership: Collaborate with peer roles across the enterprise to address initiatives impacting PBS and broader organizational issues. Regularly engage with cross-functional area leads to ensure new processes are effectively socialized and adopted.

  • Project Enablement and Change Management: Drive the enablement of strategic business initiatives and special projects, managing multiple workstreams to achieve sustained transformation. Disseminate critical data and information to partners, fostering a culture of transparency and informed decision-making.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Communications, Marketing or other related field preferred.

  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics and/or business strategy

  • Experience in corporate strategy, data and analytics strategy, general consulting and/or other related fields with a history of demonstrated business success (healthcare and pharmacy experience preferred)

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop sophisticated quantitative analyses and synthesize the results into implications and communicate recommendations to senior leadership

  • Experienced in developing and analyzing complex financial models and other quantitative assessments including KPIs, ROI, P&L, etc.

  • Proven business acumen with experience researching marketing trends and consumer insights, category analysis, competitive benchmarking, etc.

  • Experienced in networking successfully across a large company by building trust, making decisions, focusing on stakeholder needs, continuously improving and building talent

  • Strong project management skills are necessary

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of shaping messages appropriately for a senior-level audience and proficiency using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (strong PPT skills are a must!)

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
