Software Engineering Lead Analyst Position Overview:

Software engineer with strong expertise in SQL and a strong understanding of data from an analytical perspective. The role requires proficiency in working with JSON structures and REST APIs, as well as the ability to interpret SAS application code from legacy systems (deep expertise is not mandatory). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset to support data-driven initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Work extensively with JSON data formats for integration and processing.
• Design, implement payloads/API calls, work with tools like Postman, Bruno etc, to consume REST APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between services/systems.
• Analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Review and understand SAS legacy system code to ensure smooth integration and migration processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications Required Skills: -Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with JSON and REST API integration, Should be able to work with payloads etc.
• Ability to read and understand SAS legacy code (expert-level knowledge not required).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Should be able to read and handle Python/Node.js/Angular formats (No coding requirements)Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for data manipulation
• Familiarity or basic experience with BI reporting
• Familiarity or basic experience with working with open source Charting libraries

Required Experience & Education:

• Must have 5 - 8 years of hands-on development experience
• Preferred healthcare/financial domain experience, deep analytics
• Experience managing, Leading and supporting team of developers.
• Working knowledge of Data Modelling, solution architecture, normalization, data profiling etc.
• Adherence to good coding practices, technical documentation, and must be a good team player.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications is a plus
