About the Role
The GHB Producer Relations & Americas Sales East Director role is a senior commercial leadership role that will have management responsibility for the Americas Sales East and assume accountability for GHB Producer Relations, with oversight and governance across GHB to ensure we optimize the function and continue to share best practices. This role leads multiple disciplines spanning Direct Sales and Broker Relations, with accountability for expanding market presence, strengthening broker partnerships, and delivering solutions to multinational employers, global mobility programs, and internationally mobile populations as well supporting growth in Cigna's unique global segments & verticals.
This position plays a critical role in shaping go-to-market strategy, building high-impact broker and client relationships, and ensuring scalable sales processes in a complex, multi-country environment. The role operates with significant autonomy and makes decisions that influence long-term growth, distribution strategy, and customer outcomes. The position is eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (IC).
The role is accountable for achieving sales objectives for a defined geographic territory and sales plan with key responsibilities including:
Sales Leadership & Market Growth

Lead and oversee multiple disciplines within Direct Sales focused on expatriate health insurance, global medical plans, and related international benefits through Cigna's defined segments & verticals.

Develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth across multinational employers, global mobility programs, and international organizations

Manage, coach, and develop new business sales managers and teams to deliver consistent performance across regions and client segments

Ensure sales tools, systems, and processes support complex global sales cycles, underwriting coordination, and client onboarding

Monitor pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and regional results to ensure achievement of revenue and growth targets
Broker Relations & Distribution Strategy

Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with global, regional, and local insurance brokers and consultants specializing in expatriate and international health benefits

Design and implement broker strategies that support sales growth across international markets and mobility corridors

Drive & maintain oversight and governance across our GHB markets.

Develop innovative engagement programs, education initiatives, and value propositions to strengthen broker loyalty and advocacy

Partner closely with brokers to grow revenue while ensuring strong service delivery and long-term relationship retention

Identify early warning signs of broker or account risk and implement proactive strategies to improve satisfaction and renewal outcomes
Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making

Contribute to setting short- and long-term commercial strategy across sales and distribution for expatriate health insurance solutions

Lead development and implementation of key programs, processes, and operating models that support scalable international growth

Make informed decisions—often in complex, regulated, or ambiguous environments—that have lasting impact across the organization

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including underwriting, operations, medical networks, compliance, and product teams to ensure market-aligned solutions
What We’re Looking For

Proven senior leadership experience in expatriate health insurance, international private medical insurance (IPMI), global benefits, or international employee benefits

Strong track record of driving revenue through both direct sales and broker-led distribution models

Deep understanding of broker ecosystems, multinational employer needs, and global mobility dynamics
-
Experience operating in multi-country, regulated environments with complex stakeholder groups
-
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively and make decisions with long-term impact

Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation and long term incentive plan.
