Operational Risk Senior Supervisor:
Position Overview
In this role, you will provide overall direction and leadership for a team of third-party risk management (TPRM) professionals in Hyderabad. You will be a member of our Global Procurement, Third Party Management, & Shared Services (GPTPMS) organization, which provides procurement-related services to the greater Cigna Group organization. A key function of this position is managing teams to deliver third party risk strategies, driving business value through our suppliers, and providing risk insights for critical suppliers. This position will serve a critical role in establishing a third-party risk management presence within the innovation hub.

This is a hands-on position reporting to management with visibility into GPTPMS leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of third-party risk management professionals within indirect procurement categories
- Ensure 100% timely completion of all risk assessment tasks in accordance with established business SLAs
- This role ensures that the TPRM program aligns with regulatory expectations, internal risk appetite, and strategic business objectives
- Lead or support strategic initiatives to mature the TPRM program, including tool implementations, workflow automation, and integration with other risk domains
- Develop and maintain program dashboards, KPIs/KRIs, and executive reporting for senior leadership and risk committees
- Serve as the primary liaison between Global Procurement, business units, and risk domain owners to ensure third party risk is integrated into business operations
- Develop and lead training programs to enhance awareness of third-party risk management best practices and ensure consistent adoption across various stakeholder groups
- Leverage third party risk intelligence platforms to proactively identify, assess, and monitor emerging third-party risks
- Establish and maintain risk assessment processes to evaluate inherent and residual risks throughout the third-party life cycle
- Ensure consistent communication and project management with stakeholders of assigned TPRM projects throughout the organization
- Support continuous improvement in all aspects of the TPRM process; liaise with the GPTPMS Center of excellence organization in the US to ensure alignment with process, best practices, and talent strategy
- As a leader, act as a change agent and demonstrate resiliency as changes occur.
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, and training success of new hires within GPTPMS in Hyderabad in support of building a core procurement capability
- Be the point of escalation for your team during risk due diligence activities
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong skills in understanding emerging trends in third-party risk
- Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of the third-party risk including onboarding, due diligence, contracting, and termination
- Experience in a broad range of indirect procurement categories
Required Experience & Education:
- 5-8 Years of relevant experience
- Some experience leadership or managerial role
- Experience with procurement and risk in an onshore/offshore model.
- College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a broad range of third-party risk domains
- Exposure to Ariba, Icertis or similar Procurement systems and Process Unity or similar GRC systems
- Experience working with a matrix organization and other internal partners to execute on goals
Desired Experience:
- Experience in health-related fields such as health services, health insurance, pharmacy benefits management, and
- Experience with HIPAA, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and other related US Healthcare concepts
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Industry certifications such as SIG, SIG, CTPRP, CTPRA or similar
Location & Hours of Work
- Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
- Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
