How You Will Contribute:

Blue Planet the software division of Ciena, provides best-in-class intelligent automation software and niche professional services to help clients modernize their IT and network operations. Driven by policy and AI-based insights, Blue Planet delivers the closed-loop automation tools needed to align IT and networking processes—critical to facilitating digital transformation and an adaptive network.

You will be responsible for software pipeline automation including developing, enhancing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment tools across multiple platform (AWS and others), multiple deployment models (standalone, HA, Geo redundant) and integration to a large-scale IT environment. You will also perform daily operational tasks and supporting end-users (product and project developers).

• Kubernetes infrastructure configuration, automation, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Software pipeline automation including developing, enhancing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
• Deploy Blue Planet applications in AWS environments or other cloud platform
• Application administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and automation
• Deploy and operate HA, Geo-redundant and zero downtime upgrade solution
• Perform daily operational tasks and support end-users (product and project developers)

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 5 years + of relevant CloudOps/DevOps experience in below areas
• Strong Kubernetes skills
• Strong communication skills
• Linux OS configuration, automation and troubleshooting
• Development and maintenance CI/CD processes
• Cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP services
• Configuration Management: Ansible
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Containerization: Docker

Pay Range:

The annual pay range for this position is C**$77,700** - C**$124,100.**

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
