Our Opportunity:

Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance Chewy Brands team! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements, and using data to make and drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Brands growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

What You'll Do:

• Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to communicate business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership

• Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business, and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance

• Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, the Merchandising team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations

• Analyze promotion performance, product impact, and customer behavior with a lens for financial returns on investment and efficiency of those investments

• Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance

• Optimally manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need:

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics

• 3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and a grasp of financial statements

• Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis

• Advanced Excel (i.e., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills

• Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP

• Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines

• A proactive mindset, taking ownership for tasks and seeing them through to completion

• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Outstanding attention to detail and a dedication to producing accurate work
