About the position

This position is part of an internal data science consulting team responsible for the delivery and support of analytic capabilities for Chevron upstream, midstream, downstream, and corporate functions. The function of this role is to partner with the business to identify opportunities to apply analytic tools and data science to achieve business value. The successful candidate that fills this position will have the skills to design, prototype, create, and support analytical solutions and insights.

Key responsibilities Risk Assessment & Governance

·       Review AI and GenAI use cases for potential risks and compliance gaps.

·       Recommend mitigation strategies and controls aligned with Responsible AI principles.

Data Science & Engineering

·       Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support AI risk assessments.

·       Design and build data products that enable monitoring and reporting of AI risks.

·       Develop scripts and workflows for data wrangling, integration, and movement.

Automation & Process Optimization

·       Utilize Power Automate to update and build new flows for process automation.

·       Implement scalable solutions to streamline Responsible AI workflows.

AI & GenAI Enablement

·       Apply general understanding of AI technologies and processes to enhance governance frameworks.

·       Explore and integrate GenAI capabilities to modernize Responsible AI practices.

Technical Development

·       Write efficient Python scripts for data manipulation and automation tasks.

·       Consume and leverage APIs for data integration and system interoperability.

About you

A Data Scientist with 8 years of experience. Technical Capability- Demonstrated depth in advanced analytics / data science technologies (e.g., machine learning, operations research, statistics, data mining); experience implementing advanced analytics projects; working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and tools in its ecosystem; proficiency in Python and R.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

·       Coding Experience in Python

·       Experience working with Generative AI

·       Power Automate - flow creation and maintenance

Functional Knowledge

·       Responsible AI practices

·       Governance Frameworks
