Chevron ENGINE seeks top-tier candidates to join our Workflow Acceleration and Optimization team in Digital Platform and Services, specializing in subsurface workflow development. As a Subsurface Workflow Specialist, you will design and implement cutting-edge, high-efficiency workflows spanning the entire value chain—from earth model to simulation and economic evaluation. Your work will leverage a blend of proprietary and leading vendor products, providing Chevron with a significant competitive edge.**Min Years of Experience **

Key Responsibilities
Develop tools and applications focusing on the subsurface component of the end-to-end workflow, from earth modeling to reservoir simulation to economic analysis.
Work closely with functional disciplines such as Interpretation & Modeling, Reservoir Simulation & Optimization, and Decision Analysis to create these workflows.
Collaborate with Subsurface R&D digital projects to scale up successful proof-of-concept efforts with the highest impact via the Subsurface Digital Platform.
Partner with Triple Crown Partners (Chevron, SLB, and Microsoft) to build digital services that complement vendor applications and meet Chevron’s requirements.
Focus on targeted user-experience and data management development, including GUI, Power BI, visualization, data engineering, and mature digital MVPs.
Conduct application testing, pipeline development, and build and release processes on Azure Cloud platforms. Develop technical software and training documentation. Provide high-end user support, coaching, and mentoring for the workflows.
Required Qualifications
Education: BS or higher degree in engineering or earth science, or equivalent field.
Quantified experience: minimum 5 years of experience in software product development and in Petroleum Engineering or related industry.
Demonstrated fluency in engineering software development, including python, C#, C, cloud computing frameworks, Azure ecosystems developments (pipelines, dashboards, visualization, data management systems).
Understanding of physical process associated with subsurface workflow. Good understanding of subsurface uncertainty analysis and optimization technologies and workflows.
Experience of customer support and understanding of subsurface business needs and utilize SAFE agile processes to implement highly prioritized features.
Good communication skills and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Good command in one or more programming languages such as Python, C#. Skills in software design and development. Good understanding of cloud computing.
Communication: Demonstrated ability to clearly convey technical feedback through oral communication, email, and presentation media. Effective communication with business unit clients, SLB developers, and cross-functional peers.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills to coordinate simultaneous projects. Understanding of business drivers. Ability to develop work and execute plans to meet objectives delivering on commitments.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to gain alignment towards accomplishing objectives.
Selection Criteria 1
Technical Competency: candidate with strong subsurface experience with a broad understanding of Chevron’s business and technical problems and experience utilizing / developing Chevron's workflows and applications. Competency in reservoir engineering & simulation and data analytics with ML/AI knowledges is preferred.
