Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Senior Buyer through03/31/2026 at
11: 59 p.m.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
· Plan and execute goods, materials and equipment procurement initiatives in the Annual Contracting Inventory and Plan (ACIP) for El Trapial project.
· Develop purchasing contracts with core vendors and administrate contracts during lifecycle.
· Develop and execute negotiation strategies and synergies opportunities.
· Issue Purchase Orders (PO) meeting internal client requirements. Request and perform economical evaluation of supplier’s proposals to present a recommendation for award and PO generation. Ensure orders are placed with the appropriate terms and conditions (TC) and assuring material on time delivery.
· Execute international purchases and lead import/export processes including international freight forwarding and customs clearance. Execute import/export due diligence before and after procurement.
· Ensure proper execution of Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) and conduct on-site visits to expedite critical materials. Coordinate inspections when required.
· Support market forecast/lookback analysis.
· Logistics coordinator for import/export.
· Solve routine problems with vendors and invoicing/reception issues.
Required Qualifications:
- University Degree required: Engineering preferred or Business Administration or Accounting or International Commerce
- +5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or oil & gas industry, in oil & gas or construction companies
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes (logistics, payments, expediting) and international commerce.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork
- Demonstrate very good English skills - written & oral
Relocation Options:
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
