We are currently seeking an LPG professional with strong commercial acumen, material transactional experience, and problem-solving skills to join our dynamic organization in NGL Trading.The ideal candidate should be natural team player and have an eye for innovation and continuous improvement. Our portfolio is growing significantly and the NGL Trader will be responsible for developing profitable commercial trading opportunities around Chevron’s Global NGL’s portfolio.
This role will be based in Singapore, report into the NGL Trading Manager in London, and work in the Global NGL trading teams.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Trades in both physical and financial commodities, with a focus on the financial, in pursuit of both trading for profit/hedging and system optimization.

  • This role will market equity 3rd party production streams with a focus on developing and maintaining Asia Pacific counterparties.

  • Responsible for developing profitable commercial trading opportunities around Chevrons physical Global NGL portfolio.

  • Identifies appropriate economic evaluation, proposal development, and leads negotiations leading to capture.

  • Actively contributes to the development of trading strategies, initiates, and manages physical and financial positions for profit, focuses on asset optimization.

  • Actively contributes to developing arbitrage flows as part of the Global NGL Commodity team.

  • Utilizes the company's position and assets to leverage market opportunities and increase enterprise earnings.

  • Understands trading tools and methodology to collaborate with analysts to model and evaluate market conditions and supply and trading scenarios.

  • Establishes a network of contacts to enhance market intelligence.

  • Must develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, collaborating closely with other business units such as Chevron New Energies and Corp Business Development.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Thorough understanding of LPG markets in Asia Pacific.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in LPG supply and trading, fundamental analysis preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying opportunities and negotiating outcomes with an enterprise perspective

  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and analytical skills

  • Entrepreneurial aptitude. Demonstrated history of deal capture and complex negotiations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of peers and stakeholders in pursuit of the best enterprise outcome and to communicate effectively externally and at all levels in the Chevron organization. Ability to represent Chevron externally at the highest levels with Government, customers & partners

  • Regular travel is to be expected

Relocation Options:

  • Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

  • Selected candidate will be based in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
