Schwab's Corporate Compliance Training Team seeks to empower learners with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate risk management effectively. We aspire to be the gold standard for tailored, high impact risk management learning solutions.
The Manager of Compliance Training plays a critical role in designing and maintaining Corporate Risk Management training programs that support regulatory requirements and organizational risk management objectives. This role ensures personnel have the knowledge and skills to uphold compliance standards and mitigate risk across the enterprise. The manager partners with key stakeholders to develop, deliver, and assess risk-based learning programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Management
- Deliver, assist with design and development of, and maintain compliance training programs aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and business teams to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Learning Solution Analysis & Strategy
- Collaborate with Learning Consultants on the analysis and design of learning strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Federated Training teams.
- Prepare self and team for change management within the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across Compliance, Corporate Risk Management, and business partners.
- Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on training priorities.
- Provide direction and support to key business partners.
- Learning Design & Development
- Provide editorial review and testing support to support design of training courses.
- Design engaging learning experiences, primarily e Learning focused on impactful learning objectives and innovative methods of retention.
- Gain acknowledgment from appropriate personnel for training materials.
- Maintain and own core processes that support the team's infrastructure.

- Regulatory & Business Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations impacting compliance functions. Ability to research regulatory information and stay informed on industry trends.
- Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Conduct strategic analysis and develop innovative solutions to corporate risk management challenges. Influence others, solve problems, and execute in a customer-centric manner.
- Relationship Building & Communication: Superior verbal, written, and active listening skills. Ability to lead effective meetings, foster collaboration, and organize and communicate complex information in plain, digestible language. Communicate progress clearly and proactively throughout scope of projects.
- Execution & Accountability: Demonstrate high-quality work, manage time effectively, and ensure timely completion of initiatives. Maintain an unwavering focus on detail, organization, and quality.
- Self-Leadership: Manage multiple, high-complexity projects both independently and as part of a project team. Demonstrate ownership mindset and attention to detail.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Remain positive and adaptable, think beyond traditional training, and drive innovation in learning products.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in content management systems, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and other learning technologies.
- Design & Multimedia: Strong skills in instructional and graphic design, video, audio, and multimedia creation.
What you have
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Information and Learning Technologies, Organizational Behavior, Education, Communications, Writing, Multimedia, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in Instructional Design, or related field.
- Strong editorial, graphic design, and multimedia skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, partner with diverse teams, and learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to learn changing technologies quickly, including Content Management System (similar to Wordpress), Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline, Sum Total, Workday.
- Established understanding and application of accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and financial services a plus.
