Key Responsibilities:1. Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop and implement various commodity sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable value in safety, quality, delivery and cost for assigned categories of spend: a) conduct spend analysis, define categories and assess opportunities to formulate and execute specific category strategies;

b) assess the needs of stakeholders, conduct market analysis, challenge specifications and profile the risks;
c) lead RFX processes for assigned spend categories;
d) lead price and contract negotiations to achieve the best value from supplier relationships and brand protection;
e) govern the project execution in terms of managing project timeline, resource planning, resolve issues and mitigate risks, etc.;
f) analyze and develop different KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.

  1. Establish solid partnership with internal stakeholders via cross-functional team approach in all strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize business relationships with key suppliers that aligns/ exceeds stakeholders’ expectations:
    a) build trust and credibility across internal stakeholder community by demonstrating required expertise and supports in all procurement-related activities;
    b) determine their needs and goals, positively align, engage, communicate and influence them to achieve desired outcomes;
    c) consolidate and manage internal customers’ feedbacks to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

  2. Manage strategic supplier relationship and performance management initiatives:
    a) conduct strategic supplier evaluation according to the company guidelines and audit policies;
    b) establish proactive joint review meetings in order to improve supplier performance, quality, risk and total cost of suppliers on regular cadence;
    c) identify potential contractual terms and conditions improvement opportunities for re-negotiation.

  3. Manage collaboration for knowledge sharing and proper communication between Global/ Regional commodity leads within respective commodity spend:
    a) share effective strategy, commodity expertise and feedbacks to global/ regional teams;
    b) understand the needs and challenge the global/ regional premix purchasing management team.

  4. Monitor sourcing strategy implementation of different commodity spend:
    a) drive the procurement processes by designing, implementing and managing projects to a successful conclusion by establishing accountability, timeline and goals;
    b) ensure sourcing strategies are implemented and TCO reductions are secured according to forecasts;
    c) responsible for breaking down organizational barriers and communicating overall sourcing trends/results in respective commodity spend;
    d) implement business-specific purchasing procedures on a country/site level with respect to specific functional business needs and priorities.

  5. Measure and track internal performance of each commodity spend category responsibility:
    a) track forecast vs actual savings for respective commodity spend;
    b) communicate actual performance against measurement metrics and the potential budgetary impact.

  6. Support the development of local Sustainable Procurement Expertise and build close partnership with APAC sustainability team
    a) equip with understanding of sustainable procurement principles, develop and foster local insight and knowledge on country specifics when it comes to sustainability and vendor/supplier landscapes; and demonstrate a strong passion in driving this forward
    b) In strong collaboration with Regional Sustainability Team on Sustainable Policy socialization with strong commitment integrated into the market business and in the value chain. Support market direction and drive green sourcing on ESG initiatives & optimize supplier eco system to establish standard ways of working and templates/measurements for TW users to apply;
    c) be a green sourcing ambassador to actively provide insights and action identified in respective categories and support TW journey.

Person Specifications

  • Academic / Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Internal Business, Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English ability
  • Good Presentation Skill
  • Green Sourcing experience is a plus
  • CIPS qualification is a plus

Work Experience:

o Substantial minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement in multinational company with focus on category management and/or supplier management;
o Preferably experienced in luxury retail/FMCG/manufacturing industry;
o Experiences of implementation global/regional transformational projects is preferrable.

Required Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes;
  • Strong analytical skill and attention to details with an intermediate level of Excel skill;
  • Solid knowledge/ experience in strategic sourcing/ procurement and commercial & contract management tools and techniques;
  • Familiar with e-Procurement tools development and operation;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill and able to establish collaborative relationship with all levels in the company as well as suppliers;
  • Be an influencer with impeccable communication skills relate to people, build relationships and effectively present arguments;
  • Demonstration of processes improvements mindset with concrete efficiency, effectiveness and optimization focus as part of the core;
  • Strong negotiating skill with proactive and positive attitude.
