BOUTIQUE ARCHITECT INTERN
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Contract Type: Internship (Maternity Cover)
Department: Store Planning & Maintenance
ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Boutique Architect Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring our boutiques operate at the highest standards. You will oversee daily and preventive maintenance across our Abu Dhabi Galleria, Dubai Mall Level Shoes, Dubai Mall WFJ, and provide support for Dubai Duty Free projects as required.
WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL:
Boutique Maintenance Oversight:
- Review and follow up on maintenance reports received from the boutiques, ensuring all actions are completed in line with brand standards and timelines.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess store conditions and verify that all maintenance works are completed correctly.
- Collect and evaluate maintenance requests from boutique teams, assess urgency and feasibility, and propose actionable solutions.
- Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Support the team in preparing invoicing and coordinate for payments
Recurring and Preventive Maintenance:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all recurring maintenance services, including pest control, deep cleaning, and PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance).
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, brand guidelines, and mall requirements.
- Track service reports, update maintenance logs, and identify gaps or performance issues with service providers.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all maintenance activities, quotations, completion reports, and preventive maintenance logs.
- Prepare regular updates for the Store Planning & Maintenance Manager.

- Taking ownership of maintenance processes and seeing tangible results in boutique environments.
- Collaborating closely with boutique teams, contractors, and internal departments.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance efficiency and elevate brand standards.
- Growing your expertise in technical trades and luxury retail facility management.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities independently.
- Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to maintenance challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a drive to uphold CHANEL’s brand standards.
- Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn about facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Familiarity with architectural drawings and design tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- Educational background in Architecture or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Photoshop or Sketch Up is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facility management, or related role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple boutiques simultaneously.
- Familiarity with basic technical trades such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing is a plus.
- Based in the UAE or willing to relocate.
