Location: Montreal CHANEL Boutique (in Holt Renfrew)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Contract: Full-time and permanent position
Your role @ Chanel:
The Operations Assistant performs a variety of clerical and administrative functions to assist the Operations Manager. They partner with the Operations Manager to supervise, motivate, and coach the Heart of House team to ensure all boutique operational functions are delivered to the highest standards in order to provide an impeccable client experience.

Customer Experience/Customer Relationship
- Maintain a strong client relationship by responding to all internal & external inquiries via telephone & email.
- Support the boutique sales floor as needed, welcome clients, art of wrapping, repair-intake, present new collections.
- Consistently provide the highest level of customer service and support to clients/colleagues.
Heart of House Operations
- Inventory Management Assist with the inventory management process including RFID, Cycle counts, Year-End Inventory
- Maintain inventory integrity by proactively managing shrink
- Lead and execute the process of all incoming and outgoing merchandise within 24 hours.
- Maintain document retention as per the guidelines
- Oversee and ensure compliance of Customer Owned Goods, Chanel et Moi Repairs/Alterations, and Consignment.
- Be an expert on Chanel Standard Operating Procedures
- Reconcile and balance daily invoices based on the boutique.
- Ensure an adequate stock of boutique supplies and order as necessary
- Inspect and maintain a clean and well-organized boutique regularly, this includes boutique & heart of house. Partner with Boutique Management as required.
- Respond to Inter-Boutique Transfer requests in a timely manner using the appropriate tools
- Create, maintain and manage all Boutique invoices through our internal system
- Support with the spare part and alterations supplies orders according to guidelines
- Partner with Boutique management to order, organize and allocate staff uniforms.

Personal Presentation/Image
- Adhere at all times to dress code, grooming and conduct guidelines as specified within the CHANEL Charter
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum 3-5 years in retail operations and/or stock experience.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving;
- Customer experience oriented;
- Detail oriented; excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Comfortable working with different departments and teams;
- Ability to lift approximately 15-20lbs
- Heart of House: Requires in-store presence to facilitate the opening and closing of the boutique; the receiving/shipping of inventory; to support sales to ensure optimal client service
- Proficiency in an additional language(s) will be considered an asset, but not mandatory.
