Job Purpose
The Head of Boutique is a pivotal leader within the Fashion division and a true Brand Advocate for CHANEL. This role embodies the CHANEL difference by delivering exceptional retail leadership and cultivating a boutique environment that reflects the brand’s values. Acting as a strategic business partner, the Head of Boutique bridges operational needs between the boutique and the corporate office, ensuring alignment, excellence, and innovation.

Mission
The Head of Boutique is entrusted to inspire and lead the boutique team, engaging today’s clients while cultivating relationships with those of tomorrow, through the delivery of exceptional luxury service. Overseeing mega-sized boutique, the Head of Boutique is responsible for driving business growth and executing strategic objectives across Fashion, Watches, and Fine Jewelry. In close partnership with the adjacent Fragrance & Beauty boutique, the Head of Boutique fosters a unified “One House” commitment, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience for every client. The role also upholds the highest standards of image within the boutiques and demonstrates a strong commitment to the personal and professional development of all team members.

Brand Stewardship Champion CHANEL’s image through impeccable visual merchandising, boutique upkeep, and team grooming. Act as a brand ambassador while fostering strong relationships with landlords, media, and local authorities.
One Boutique One Story:
Lead the boutique with a unified vision, ensuring the “One Boutique One Story” strategy is clearly articulated, embraced, and executed by all. Through strong partnership and precise alignment, safeguard the boutique’s image, mission, and impact—ensuring every action contributes meaningfully to the boutique’s objectives and amplifies our unique story.
Inspirational Leadership Motivate and develop the boutique team by aligning them with CHANEL’s vision. Lead by example, coach consistently, and cultivate a high-performance culture through clear communication, regular feedback, and strategic talent development.
Client-Centric Excellence Grow and nurture our VIC and Elite client base, while cultivating relationships with local clientele and warmly welcoming tourists. Foster a boutique culture centered on client engagement and personalized service, building enduring connections with all clients. Champion service excellence at every touchpoint, and proactively respond to feedback to continuously enrich the customer experience.
Merchandise & Inventory Mastery Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product assortment, stock flow, and inventory accuracy. Inspire the team with each collection’s story and ensure efficient stockroom-to-shopfloor processes.
Performance & KPI Focus Lead the team to exceed sales targets through data-driven actions, client outreach, and service incentives. Monitor performance and partner with management to align on goals and growth strategies.
Operational Excellence Ensure smooth daily operations, accurate reporting, and compliance with all procedures. Adapt staffing to traffic patterns and share market insights to support business decisions.
Strategic Partnerships Champion a culture of collaboration across all métiers namely Styling, VM, Merchandising, Marketing, Learning and Insights, for working together to deliver a seamless, elevated client experience. Build strong internal networks across divisions – Watches & Fine Jewelry and Fragrance & Beauty to execute One House boutique objectives seamlessly and collaboratively.
