The ambition of WFJ in SEAA is to leap ahead and build comprehensive Watches and Fine Jewelry capabilities to drive brand and client growth, with a clear long-term ambition to establish key capabilities within each market.
Strengthening our backbones is key to achieve our vision above and this can only be achieved by devising right merchandising and stock strategies in mid and long term. In this role, you need to be strategic, visionary, and exhibit strong leadership in guiding SEAA markets’ development while possessing operational skills to support SEAA markets as needed. From this perspective, this role needs to collaborate seamlessly with markets and global teams. This role will also drive continued transformation of our operating model with more sophisticated processes and tools to empower sustainable business growth.
Impact You Can Create In The Role:
Reporting to the Watches and Fine Jewelry Director, SEAA, this role will lead the sales forecasts, stock management and supply chain processes of Watches and Fine Jewelry (WFJ) in SEAA and SG, working in close collaboration with markets and WFJ division (global team).
In alignment with the strategic vision to strengthen SEAA’s Watches and Fine Jewellery business, this role will leverage Singapore’s status as a pivotal luxury retail hub to drive and oversee the implementation of innovative retail and operational initiatives.
The role will establish robust operational frameworks and set performance standards that serve as models for adaptation across all SEAA markets. It will not only ensure the effective transfer and scaling of best practices but also promote seamless cross-market collaboration, thereby elevating retail standards and underpinning sustainable business growth for Watches and Fine Jewellery throughout the region.
BUSINESS STRATEGY

Drive SEAA merchandising strategies, set product priorities, KPIs and contribute to the region’s strategic plan

Build SEAA’s mid- and long-term sales projections, and establish budget management principles, assumptions and guidelines

Drive WFJ operations transformation and manage all related business and supply chain changes in SEAA. Co-work with North Asia to lead regional and markets’ implementation of new supply chain models, systems, processes, and workflows

Communicate SEAA WFJ vision to division (global team) – Supply Chain, Merchandising and Marketing – to ensure regional needs and priorities are integrated into global plans

Establish close relationships with markets’ management teams (Managing Directors and General Managers). Analyze and provide in-depth insights on local WFJ business strategies. Also, to identify local talent gaps and co-build local merchandising expertise

Build cross-department synergy with Regional Marketing, Retail and Learning, High-end, teams

Lead Merchandising community towards a more strategic and business-oriented culture

Monitor and analyze product performance and sales trends to draw insights for further actions. Produce regional business reports

Monitor new product launches, and formulate necessary action plans to support the launches in partnership with other departments

Drive Merchandising projects and new initiatives for SEAA to always seize new business opportunities

Participate in global and regional projects, coordinate regional resources, conduct necessary tests, and provide feedbacks
-
Set parameters and clear governance on evaluating effectiveness of merchandising and supply chain processes
FORECASTS, PRODUCT ASSORTMENT & STOCK MANAGEMENT

Act as the advisor to Regional WFJ Director on business development opportunities related to demand planning, assortment, and supply chain process enhancements

Act as the voice of SEAA on regional and markets’ sales ambitions, orchestration plans and needs
-
Liaise with division Supply Chain on production planning and replenishment plans to attain regional ambitions
-
Provide forecasting frameworks to markets to improve forecast accuracy and stock efficiency, validate demand planning and assortment plans from markets

Develop regional and markets’ sales and stock simulations to prepare for sales fluctuations
-
Build product assortment strategies that are adapted to SEAA markets’ needs (WFJ and Fashion networks)

Define model stock guidelines to ensure the right level of presence for Watches and Precious Jewelry by distribution channels

Define and monitor sales and stock KPIs for SEAA (Forecast accuracy, stock coverage, overstock)

Mobilize regional stock and optimize inventory level by formulating necessary action plans. Drive and support markets on stock rebalancing.

Ensure Fashion synergy by promoting Fashion’s involvement in forecasts and orders for Fashion network

Work closely with sales administration team on managing regional operations-- placing, and tracking orders on products and sales tools e.g., packaging. Ensure timely deliveries to markets
PARTNERSHIP WITH FINANCE

Align with regional Finance on budget timeline, process, and governance to ensure synchronization

Formulate annual and quarter budgets. Align with Finance on sales projections during each budget cycle

Review and develop business reporting and finance monitoring tools
PARTNERSHIP WITH SUPPLY CHAIN AND OPERATIONS

Be SEAA’s WFJ supply chain referent and support local markets’ supply chain and operational processes

Develop new initiatives with operations team on optimizing stock management and supply chain flows in SEAA
