As Visual Merchandising Manager – Dubai Mall, reporting to the Retail Visual Merchandising Manager, you are responsible for coordinating all the visual merchandising activities at the Dubai Mall fashion boutique, leading a team of Visual Merchandisers based in the store. As needed, you also would need to support collection launches in other boutiques. You’ll drive the implementation of impactful visual strategies that enhance the client experience and reflect the vitality of the brand. With strong expertise in collection presentation, image standards, and operational excellence, you ensure seamless execution across launches and daily activities. Your deep understanding of CHANEL’s codes, fashion history, and product craftsmanship allows you to inspire both clients and teams, while contributing to the smooth running of the boutique through cross-functional collaboration and adherence to brand procedures.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Plan and Execute Collection Launches: develop and present visual merchandising plans for collection launches, boutique animations, and celebrations based on product deliveries and buys. Ensure all necessary VM tools are delivered on time.
- Lead and Manage a Team of in-store VM: inspiring and organize a team of Visual Merchandiser in store.
- Lead Collection Redress and Display Zoning: prepare and implement zoning for each product category in advance of collection redress. Share detailed plans with the boutique VM team and coordinate closely with stock teams to ensure efficient execution.
- Adapt Global Guidelines to the Boutique: independently interpret and integrate global VM guidelines into the boutique context, ensuring alignment with the brand image and collection storytelling.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers Teams: liaise with Sales Managers ahead of rotations to incorporate business priorities and ensure displays support commercial objectives. Propose Strategic VM: to propose VM updates or rotations that respond to boutique performance and product priorities, while aligning with the brand image.
- Monitor and Analyze VM Impact: assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives after implementation by gathering feedback and commercial insights. Share key findings and recommendations with your manager.
- Educate and Inspire Boutique Teams: explain the creative direction of window and interior displays and raise awareness of VM’s role within the boutique during morning briefings.
- Ensure Clear Communication to the Boutique Management: clearly explain any VM changes to Sales Managers and the Boutique Director, outlining the reasoning, concept, or business/image goals behind them.
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, within a luxury fashion brand.
- Strong understanding of VM principles, collection storytelling, and zoning techniques.
- Solid commercial awareness and ability to align VM with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to clearly convey VM concepts to boutique teams and leadership.
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an elevated client experience through visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of fashion, style and current visual merchandising trends.
- Flexibility in terms of schedule (late shifts, overnights and weekends required).
- Excellent spoken and written English.
