Position Purpose: Manage and implement strategies to ensure successful responses to inquiries from state insurance financial examiners across the entire company
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish relationships and ensure timely responses to examination requests.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the External Audit team on financial examinations. Maintain archive of prior examination responses and company contacts that can be readily retrieved and updated.
- Develop, implement and maintain production and quality standards for the compliance program with a focus on financial examinations conducted by state departments of insurance.
- Manage analysts tracking multiple examinations and audits across all of Centene’s licensed insurers, ensuring deliverables are received internally and sent to the examiners timely and accurately.
- Evaluate and implement changes to team functions and performance in relation to company mission, philosophy objectives and policies.
- Plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of policy decisions and ensure compliance with the company’s strategic plan, establish the team’s strategic vision, objectives and attendant policies and procedures.
- Implement best practices into operations and ensure that department functions are coordinated with other operating departments.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree in related field or equivalent experience. Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
- 4+ years of compliance experience, preferably in a healthcare environment with at least 2+ years of Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial Managed Care experience.
- Previous experience demonstrating effective interaction with federal and state regulatory agencies in a managed care or insurance environment preferred.
- Prior experience with financial examinations conducted by state departments of insurance and familiarity with National Association of Insurance Commissioners standards and procedures for financial examinations preferred, obtained either by experience in the insurance industry or as a state insurance regulator.
Pay Range: $87,700.00 - $157,800.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
