You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.

Position Purpose: This role supports healthcare innovation scouting, AI enabled strategy development, and executive decision support across emerging technology initiatives.

Core responsibilities and day to day work include:

  • Conducting structured market and technology research across digital health, AI, health services, and care delivery models to inform leadership decisions
  • Supporting opportunity assessment by building concise problem statements, value hypotheses, and early business cases for new healthcare and AI initiatives
  • Analyzing healthcare operations, cost drivers, and policy implications to support cost reduction and value creation efforts
  • Developing executive ready materials including strategy briefs, prioritization frameworks, and point of view narratives for senior leaders and steering committees
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders across technology, operations, and clinical aligned teams to gather inputs and translate them into clear insights
  • Using Copilot and AI assisted tools to accelerate research synthesis, scenario analysis, and content development while maintaining analytical rigor
  • Tracking innovation initiatives, pilots, and experiments, helping the team monitor outcomes, risks, and learnings
  • Supporting external scanning of startups, vendors, and partners aligned to emerging technology and healthcare transformation themes

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $26-30/hour

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
