Job Title – Valuation Analyst
About the Role: The Market Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the OpRE Valuation Team by managing, organising, analysing and presenting CBRE, client and third party market data. The position is structured around two main project phases:

  • Phase 1: Identifying existing data resources and supporting their organisation and migration to new platforms (where required).

  • Phase 2 (BAU Phase): Working closely with the sector teams to ensure that our data is gathered and maintained in an accurate, timely and complete manner as possible. This will require Ongoing management of data and development of insights to support the team’s advisory and valuation work. In this phase, while there is a focus on process and structuring; there is an expectation that the analyst will become a sector expert, contributing thought leadership and critical analysis of both inbound and outbound data and advice.

  • What You’ll Do: Data Handling & Maintenance- Populate and maintain core datasets, including market evidence, asset trading performance, historic valuations, and third-party data.

  • Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Perform regular data audits to monitor compliance with the firm's quality standards and procedures.

  • Support the upkeep of structured data in Excel and more advanced platforms.

  • Reporting & Exports- Generate standardized exports and reports for use by colleagues within the CBRE business.

  • Assist in preparing dashboards and Excel summaries by updating data sources and visuals.

  • Support ad hoc requests for data extracts and formatting for client deliverables.

  • Collaboration & Communication- Liaise with valuation team ‘data champions’ to ensure up-to-date data inputs, along with colleagues in other areas of the business where required.

  • Work closely with the Digital & Data Lead on weekly priorities and progress updates.

  • Coordinate with internal teams for the timely handover of files, tracking documents, or other data related elements.

  • Process Improvement- Identify opportunities to improve how recurring data tasks are managed or automated.

  • Maintain SOPs and documentation for internal data handling and tool usage.

What You'll Need: Essential:

  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, data validation, pivot tables, and formatting.
  • Experience with structured data (e.g., CRM, Excel databases, or Share Point lists).
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proactive, reliable, and organized approach to workload, with specific ‘proof of’ these qualities required (e.g., examples or evidence from previous roles).
  • Strong organizational skills, with demonstrable evidence.
  • Experience in property (at least two years), preferably with some experience of an OpRE sector.
  • A background in economics, research or real estate analysis would be preferred particularly in developing a thought leadership capability.
    Desirable:
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel dashboards).
  • Experience working with remote teams or in a capability centre environment.
  • Understanding of the structure of company accounts (particularly profit and loss accounting), corporate KPIs and benchmarking.
