Reliable equipment information transmission is critical to provide high-quality Condition Monitoring services.

In this role, you will enable this two ways: first by establishing the sources of machine data, and secondly by making sure connections are maintained to monitor the health of customers’ fleets. You will do this via global customer deployments, asset enrollments, as well as telematics-related projects, analysis, and maintenance activities.

This role starts with customer focus, combines it with technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration to yield positive outcomes leading to brand loyalty. Information is the lifeblood that you’ll keep flowing to maintain our customers’ equipment operating at peak health levels.

What you will do:

Global Deployment and Enrollment Support

  • Work with global deployment team, internal and external partners to connect and enroll equipment to support Condition Monitoring service delivery

  • Perform connectivity readiness assessments and resolve pre-deployment issues

  • Support pre-deployment collaboration tied to forecasting and planning activities including hardware, software, subscription, site, etc.

Connectivity Quality Assurance

  • Work with global teams to drive reliable equipment information flow

  • Apply urgency to resolve disconnection issues, collaborating across the matrix with customer focus as the driving force

  • Utilize both hardware and software knowledge to resolve issues

Telematics Projects and Analysis

  • Use technical curiosity to look for proactive solutions to repetitive connectivity issues; have a Permanent Corrective Action mindset

  • Lead connectivity-related projects that impact not just the Condition Monitoring team, but the broader enterprise

  • Be the team’s Subject Matter Expert in all things connectivity-related

What skills will you have:

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to Connectivity-Related situations.

Customer Support Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of the organization's customer support policies, standards and procedures; ability to coordinate teams through all issue resolution interactions with **Customer Focus **as the guiding principle.

Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technical aspects of hardware and software products as it relates to equipment connectivity.

Reliability Management: Knowledge of software and hardware reliability management; ability to develop and use principles, methodologies and metrics that increase product performance and reliability.

Performance Measurement and Tuning: Knowledge of system performance and testing; ability to monitor, measure, and optimize performance of complex communication systems.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation as it relates to telematics systems.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Technical Engineering Degree

  • Experience engaging directly with customers and/or Cat dealers.

  • Background in cross-functional, project-based teamwork (product development, 6-Sigma, CPI, etc.)

  • Experience with Product Link, Mine Star, Condition Monitoring and/or other Caterpillar communication systems or services
